Requirements – full vaccination required for entry

  • Collect contact information for customers, including those collecting takeaway. You don't need to collect contact information for home delivery customers.
  • Check all customers, staff and visitors for proof of vaccination or evidence of medical contraindication.
    • This includes back-of-house staff even if they don't come into contact with customers.
  • Operate with a COVID Safe checklist – vaccinated staff and patrons only (PDF, 437KB).
  • No density restrictions apply.
  • If part of your venue is privately-hired, different requirements apply.

Requirements – vaccination not required for entry

  • Food courts
    • Collect contact information for takeaway customers. You don't need to collect contact information for home delivery customers.
    • Occupant density limit applies in indoor spaces – no more than 1 person per 2 square metres.
  • Wedding ceremonies and reception venues
    • Maximum of 20 people (including wedding party and officials) if anyone is not vaccinated.
  • Private hire of a venue (whether hired under a paid or free agreement)
    • Operate with a COVID Safe checklist – unvaccinated staff and patrons permitted (PDF, 440KB).
    • Collect contact information for customers
    • Occupant density applies if anyone isn't fully vaccinated: a maximum of 20 people or 1 per 4 square metres (whichever is less).
    • Where the whole venue is not hired exclusively, anyone who isn't fully vaccinated must not enter into any areas of the venue where full vaccination is required.

Eased restrictions in those areas will include allowing:

  • up to 100 people in homes and public spaces
  • up to 200 attendees at weddings with a maximum of 20 people dancing
  • up to 200 attendees at funerals
  • community sport, with reduced spectators and in line with density requirements
  • 75 per cent ticketed and allocated seating capacity for indoor events (with COVID Safe Checklist) and
  • 75 per cent ticketed and allocated seating capacity for stadiums over 20,000 people with COVID Safe Site Specific Plans
  • for masks to not be worn while outdoors. Masks will continue to be required while indoors and you must carry a mask with you at all times. Masks will be required unless seated
  • QR codes compulsory
  • Dancing is allowed with 1 person per 2 sq metres.

POLICY: Nutmeg and Pepper provide a QR Code for all Events booked including DIY Catering to ensure safe and fast Contract tracing to comply with Queensland Health.

With our off-site events we also comply with Covid Plan for Catering under the guidelines set out by QLD Health. You can obtain a copy of the plan once you have booked your event. The plan will be tailored to your event space and also show the Staff Induction that is mandatory for all our Staff before they enter your site or event.

Any food/preparation component ordered for your event is non refundable should your event be cancelled due to Covid Lockdown. Staff Component for the event will be left on your account as a credit towards your next event. Sorry no Refunds. 

Should you wish to move your event date due to border restrictions or possible lockdown but not confirmed lockdown, if no food has been ordered or prepared then your event will sit as a credit to be moved to a later date.

Nutmeg and Pepper can not be held responsible for unforeseen Covid restrictions place on any event enforced by the State or Federal Government.

At no time will Nutmeg and Pepper be liable for food unable to be used and have a strict policy of passing any unused food onto Foodbank or other local Church or Charity Not For Profit Organisations.

At all times Nutmeg and Pepper will order food as close to your date as possible to minimise Food Components of your event from being lost or having to be topped up for future event dates. Please understand that some of our suppliers require advance notice due to delivery constraints including Meat/Seafood being ordered from Tasmania, Far North Qld and also Organic Produce that we utilise from Granite Belt and Murwillumbah.

Guest Numbers and Restrictions - when booking your event we suggest that you always book for your minimum numbers and you are more than welcome to increase these numbers and staff required closer to your date. Please note if your event is effected by Border Closures and your numbers decrease we have a minimum decrease amount. Events paid in full will not be able to reduce numbers due to our No Refund Policy. Any events having a deposit paid and booked over 3 months out from their Event date will be allowed to reduce numbers but no lower than our Minimum for Events - General Events Min number are 30 pax. Wedding Min numbers are 30 - 50 guests depending on location. ie: home wedding 30 pax and event space 50 pax.

Should you require any special considerations and you have given sufficient notice we are more than happy to try and accommodate exceptions. But at no time will refunds be handed out due to our ongoing survival as a Small Business
